fleaBorn on Tuesday, to coworkers Natalie and Henry, a son, Rafael.
The Social Security data for 2006 came out today: http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/
Girls' top 10 (with numbers of children under 5 I know with these names):
Emily (0), Emma (0), Madison (0), Isabella (1 Isabelle), Ava (1 Eva), Abigail (1), Olivia (2), Hannah (1), Sophia (3), Samantha (0).
Boys' top 10 (with ditto):
Jacob (1), Michael (0), Joshua (0), Ethan (0), Matthew (1), Daniel (0), Christopher (0), Andrew (1), Anthony (0), William (1).
And yet I know multiples of: Annabel, Esme, Alex(-ander, -a, -andra, Alec), Aiden (various spellings), Evan (boy and girl), Luke/Lucas, Leo, Rowan, Ell( -a, -ie, iot, a girl).
I guess it all depends on your niche.
Note: Dillo's name is still dropping - down to 167; Casper's name is still rising - it's 65 now, just behind Trinity and ahead of Kylie, but Jane, for example, is 478th and falling.)
