Yesterday I made a list and was rather productive at home (collected documents for Casper's school application, applied for a certified birth certificate for the Dillo, collected what I need to register for fall classes, took pictures of some stuff). So let's see if it works two days in a row:

Tonight:
dinner: quesadillas
advance the laundry
bathe self (also children, probably separately)
2 more trips to basement/boxes
discuss IRAs with mr. flea

Tomorrow:
banana muffins?
pack car for first Goodwill trip
2 trips basement/boxes
10-12 birthday party
get Dillo down for nap
1pm see Pilobilus with Casper
Goodwill?
Target for new lunchbox for Casper, freezy thing, cell phones?

Sunday:
vaccuum
This Old House
mr. flea work plans?
grocery shop

Lately, if I don't write it down, it does NOT get done. Herewith:

Pay rent (today)
Quicken
Rake up leaves in front yard (tonight)
Put blue chair in basement to await its fate (tonight)
Pack 2 boxes of winter clothes, & label
Mow lawn (start tonight?)
Change bed sheets, also Dillo's (tomorrow am)
Laundry (tomorrow am)
Clean kitchen
Vaccuum
Clean bathroom
Grocery list
Groceries
Tidy back porch
Listen to anti-anxiety CD (tonight after kids are in bed?)
Plan next steps in house-buying process with mr. flea

Funner stuff:
Farmer's market
Cookout/backyard campout (weather looks best for tonight)
See NCistas 2pm Sat.

Despite the fact that I got a decent night's sleep last night for about the first time in a week, I am scatterbrained like whoa today. Must. Focus.

(Last night? I went to bed at about 9:30, woke at 1 wondering why Dillo wasn't awake yet, woke at 2 ditto, Dillo woke up at 3, nursed him, Dillo woke up again at 6:15. Hey, there was no shrieking, no peeing - it was a great night!)

This afternoon:
Sort out classwork assigments, calendarize them, stop flailing.
Make list of work stuff, then start doing it.
Get $ to pay B. who watches casper after school.

Weekend:
Saturday: groceries (buy detergent that actually cleans stuff), snow, Quicken/bills, clean the freaking bathroom. Maybe visit new B&B open house 2 block away.

Sunday: This Old House, playdate, Funny Videos.

Monday: Day off with both kids, afternoon children's concert if I think I can handle it (with both kids).

Nope, didn't work. Still feeling scatterbrained.

Before Mother arrives Saturday afternoon:
Do all of homework (write total of 8 pages on 3 topics).
Finish shredding paper and get it out of bedroom.
Pack away other crap currently in bedroom in boxes.
Do another load of laundry (possibly 2).
Clean bathroom.
Vacuum kitchen.
Plan meals (Mother birthday meal) and grocery shop.
Acquire Mother birthday present? Or at least THINK about the topic.

With Mother:
Sunday birthday. Bake cake, plan meal.
Monday: send her to Winston Salem to see the museum of decorative arts?
Tuesday (day off): shop. I guess. It's what I do with my mother. Cosy, to Chapel Hill, to Mother of All Malls? Lunch out?
Discuss Tuesday PM bookclub - skip or bring her?
Yard work?

Meals:
Sunday brunch out? But it's parents' weekend; possibly too busy.
Dinner: cake from Bake Shop Ghost, or possible cider spice cake. Shrimp (in freezer). Main dish? Would boeuf bourguignon be too much work?
Monday dinner (or, mr. flea and I go out while she babysits?). Maybe bean soup from kit? Need celery.
Tuesday dinner.
