places I never thought I'd be, part 26
Apr. 11th, 2005 10:10 amIn the living room at 3:30 am, in my new pink big chair, nursing a cranky sick with a head cold baby back to sleep while listening to Dvorak's New World Symphony (chosen because I thought classical music might be soothing, and it was all I could find in the dark).
Things learned: Big pink chair is good for nursing - the arms are at a good height for support. I should listen to more classical music - in past places I've lived the NPR station is classical most of the day, so we'd just leave it on and get a dose. Here it's talk, and we leave it on anyway and I get annoyed. I am sure there is an all-classical channel on the dial, but I'd have to FIND it and CHANGE the CHANNEL all the time. Life is SO HARD.
