Six Month Checkup

Her official six month birthday was Saturday, but the checkup was today. Statistics: length, 27 and 1/4 inches. Weight, 17 pounds, 12 ounces. She's big all over, but especially long. She checked out fine, got 3 more shots, and they'll do lead testing at 9 months (I am paranoid about lead lately - two houses down they sanded off the exterior paint the other month, and I'm sure it was leaded). Our pediatrician is nine months pregnant.

I can't believe it's been six months. Blah blah forever/just yesterday cakes. It's a cliche because it's true.

Somewhere in the back of my brain, I'm hearing a voice telling me, "Vitamin C." It must have antidote properties wrt lead poisoning, or something, but I've long since forgotten any details of substance.

The baby is growing splendidly! She's so very beautiful, too.

It really is a cliche because it's true.

flea! She's huge! For comparison, Frances is 25 1/2 inches and 14 lbs, 4 oz. She's on the petite side, like her Mommy. Not that I'm petite now. Somewhere around jr high I became normal height.
