puke update

The night was better than expected - after another batch of sickness 11:30-12:15 Casper slept until 5:45, then nursed a lot and slept until 7:30. I was all thinking "she's better!" but then she woke up and announced "poo poo" (diarrhea) and threw up again too. So I am home with her today. She's nursed 3 times since last throwing up and kept it down. Is napping now and I must too since I slept in her room last night and spent a lot of time lying awake listening to light rain and Casper breathing. Fell asleep rather than watch Sesame Street!

New words I've been meaning to note: heart, watch, door, book, park, dress, dance.

Rainy day here. I am eating peppermint patties and had to force myself to turn off Sesame Street - I was enjoying it so! To bed now.

Because breast milk is so easily digested, they recommend nursing even a vomiting child. Just short sessions, small amounts at first. We've got some pedialyte too, but she doesn't seem to like it. So far so good today, though.
