Night 4 is off to an unusual start, because the vomit bug has struck our little household. (I wonder if puking is communicable via the internets? But then, people we know here have had it too.) Casper didn't want much dinner - ate 2 bites of cottage cheese and a bit of an olive - and at 7:45 as mr. flea was reading her a story, stood up and threw up. She's done it twice more, and parts of lunch are coming up as well. Aside from the moment of actual puking, and the smelliness and messiness that follows, Casper seems just fine, running around and happy. We're on our 4th pair of pajamas, my 3rd outfit, and our 2nd set of crib sheets. mr. flea - HIGHLY vomit-averse - is bearing up manfully. Have just put Casper to bed, peacefully, with baby doll and a towel under her. It may be a long night. She's so incredibly cheerful and peaceful, and we're all worried and puke-bedaubed.
See this is what happens (okay, not so much with the dramatics, but sickness) every time we try to get a good sleep thing going. Sigh.

Date: 2005-02-14 02:26 pm (UTC)Owen's sleep is messed up, too, because of the pukies Friday night/Saturday morning. Then I had it all day yesterday and now Christopher's dealing.
At least it does only seem to last one night, but it will probably take us another week to get Owen sleeping a 7-9 hour stretch without waking up. It only takes one thing to upset the cycle and then we're stuck getting up at all hours.
Our cycle is usually good sleep for two or three weeks, then something happens (either teething, travel or sickness) to upset it. His wake-ups are NEVER at the same time, either, so it's hard to adjust.
