HR person has noticed I am taking one afternoon off a week (to go home with Casper). Says if I am officially reducing my hours, I must fill out paperwork. I want to fly under the radar on this one, but do not have enough vacation time to pad it out every week if I ever want to have an actual, you know, vacation, and do not feel right using sick time when no sickness is occurring. What to do.

Nanny has cancelled meeting with potential summer family for tomorrow, citing incipient illness and possible bad weather. Nanny suggests maybe she'd prefer the other family with a toddler, instead of this family with a baby. I point out the scheduling nightmare. Nanny seems to want to have cake and eat it too, and I get to make the cake, i.e. do all the work of finding and arranging things and sacrificing for everyone else's schedule.

Nanny went home 3 hours early and came in 2 hours late during "snow emergency" this week. We don't have a weather policy. I guess I am supposed to make one up. Nanny has used up vacation and sick time, so we should dock her pay, I guess. Hate conflict.

We are hit by first bill for new schedule with Nanny, $30 more a week, which doesn't seem like that much except it is.

I do not have a plan for Sunday, when I have a blank day alone with Casper and mr. flea will be working. It is really too late to make one. Also, everything I can think of for us to do by ourselves costs money, or involves window-shopping. Would like a cheap/free fun indoor activity, please. Also, friends.
