an eventful morning

By 8:30, Casper had finally learned to ride a two-wheeler bike.

By 9:45, Casper had lost her 8th tooth. (I pulled it out for her!)

By 10:15, Michael returned from a quick run to the pet store to buy cat food with an adolescent cat. Simon is male, 6 months old, healthy except for some conjunctivitis under treatment. Voila:

What does your current cat think of Simon so far?

So far they have not directly interacted. She is definitely aware of his smells, however.

Well, he happened to mr. flea; our pet food procurement locale has shelter cats (and dogs on the weekends in good weather). There had been some casual contemplation of two kittens, and forwarding each other emails from work list-servs advertising free kittens, and going "aww," but nothing more decisive than that. I am mostly just thankful he had the sense not to bring home a puppy, which would have forced me to play bad cop and send it back, tears of the children notwithstanding.

He seems a very nice little fellow. Existing Cat has moved to hissing at the closed door.

Only Mr. flea could go out for pet food and come home with another pet. "It followed me home! I couldn't abandon it!" It is a handsome cat, and less handful than a dog.
