Sep. 13th, 2004 03:15 pmWork is hell; we currently have lost access to a number of important databases (Dissertation Abstracts, etc.) because we have been unable to pay any bills since May. Because the new system isn't working with the Uni accounting software. I am getting tired of apologizing to patrons.
Weekend was too rushed and speedy. At the memorial itself I barely said 5 words to anyone, because Casper was the energizer bunny roaming around holding on to my fingers. Nobody else's fingers, not even mr. flea's, were as good. She's now gotten to grabbing a finger when she wants to walk somewhere and expecting us to come along (which we do). SO MUCH ENERGY. We should definitely stop feeding her, that would solve this little problem. I was not particularly emotional at the memorial - I have accepted my grandparents' death, and my aunt's hasn't sunk in yet. It felt like she wasn't there because she had to be out of town, not because she's dead.
My 17 year old sister thinks my father may keep the house at 25Q after all. On the other hand, she is not known for the accuracy of her information. I really didn't get a chance to talk to him about it. I don't know when I will.
Nanny is back. This week will be nutso for other reasons, though (college visits with same little sister) and then next week the nanny is on vacation again. I feel really guilty about how little mr. flea is geting done.
Casper's doctor called to report she is barely anemic and we should do OTC vitamin drops, so we will. I'm getting my hematocrit done today at the gyno, because of my huge bruisiness. But I'm already taking vitamins with 156% of the DRA of iron for pregnant women, so what more can I do?

Date: 2004-09-13 08:11 pm (UTC)Sure they are. Those chichi aluminum nails are only good for attaching gutters. Anything more robust, and they're useless. it's just that there are just better ways of ingesting iron. Do they still make Geritol?
Huh, they do.
