fleaWe got Casper her birthday presents this morning. mr. flea got her a monkey hand puppet. We named him Maurice. He has no pants, though. I got her some fall clothes at the used fussa clothes store - a bright stripey dress, bright green corduroy osh kosh overalls, and purple corduroy girly overalls. So we each pleased ourselves as well as the baby, which I think is kind of the point of first birthdays.
Hear through the grapevine that my father has retired. So that's what he's done with his inheritance from my grandmother. That and bought my 17 year old sister a (new) car. Also, I spoke to him on the phone the day after my daughter (his only grandchild) 's first birthday, and he did not acknowledge it. My father is in my extra-bad graces this week.
