So last night at the bookshop (known to some 'round these parts as "House of Soulsuck") I held the Fussa's hands and urged her to go Daddy. And in a hesitant and somewhat perplexed fashion, she did. In general I'm trying to let her do stuff at her own pace and don't spend a lot of time trying to give lessons. But this was so cute.

We bought the Sandra Boyton book "Doggies" because when I read it to her in the store she was squeeeing in glee.

So she's walking on her own! Go you! Or, er, go Eve!

Franny isn't walking on her own yet. We're still in the sore back phase.

No - sorry if I was unclear - this is the first interest she's shown in the Mummy-bends-over-and-gets-a-sore-back-helping-me-walk. She doesn't really even cruise. Franny is definitely the advanced locomotor of the two.

Well, I think Eve is developing just beautifully. She can just keep crawling as long as she wants. I hear that babies should never be pushed to walk faster than their wont.

I just found out that one of the babies at daycare is Franny's age. I thought he was 2 or 3 months older because the baby doesn't just walk, he RUNS. Oh! That poor momma.
