NPR came on while I was picking the kids up from the sitter's and they were talking about the nomination, and she said in an enraptured tone, "Oh! He won the nomination! I am very happy about that!"
I had to explain that the nomination isn't the same thing as the presidency, but she's still very excited. It was pretty cute.
