today's Casperisms

At The Pool
Casper: That man is so furry!
mr. flea: Yes, people come in all sorts of kinds, don't they?
(to the man, who is seated within arm's reach, and is indeed blessed with an abundance of hair all over, including whiskers that would have been much admired during the Victorian era): Um, kids, they say anything...
The man: takes it in good part (he is the parent of an 18 month old)
At Elmo's, 3/4 of the way through our meal, notices the people in the next booth
Casper (sotto voce): There are STRANGERS here!
me: Yes dear, many people we don't know come to restaurants. They are for everyone.
At Home
Casper (singing): S is for dinosaur, S is for dinosaur!
mr. flea: If S is for dinosaur, what is D for?
Casper (singing): D is for reptile, D is for reptile!
This weekend we have rented an execrable movie called Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, which has a soundtrack performed by Bryan Adams or someone like that. Casper encountered it at school and spent the entire week asking, "Is it Spirit Day yet?" Oh, and that reminds me of another Casperism: "I can never get enough ice cream!"
The Dillo:
hates his carseat, and bucks and cries when placed in it
bit his sister HARD on the upper arm, out of nowhere, when they were just sitting next to each other
is not learning how to sleep through the night very easily.
