Loud enough to wake me up, from her bedroom last night:
Why am I ALWAYS stuck with my DADDY?

At the American Dance Festival children's performance, during a male solo:
I wish my Daddy could do that.

To mr. flea: I'm angry at you.
mr. flea: Why?
Casper: Because you haven't finished your PhD.
(yeah, little pitchers have big ears all right. But then:)
mr. flea: A lot of people are angry that I haven't finished my PhD. Even my Mom and Dad!
Casper: Don't tell them!

Thesis proposal defense #2 is at 9am tomorrow...

Just so you know you're in good company, one of my legendary almost-four moments was announcing to guests, "Daddy didn't get tenure, and mommy never even finished her PhD!" I think I was 30 before I realized just how evil that must have sounded to the other people involved. (And I'll be vibing for the mr.)
