10 carrots
2 pole beans
5 pink girl tomatoes
2 German Johnson tomatoes (plant now has the wilts)
late-planted marigolds have started to bloom
Book:
I Capture the Castle, Dodie Smith.
Managed to be both very charming and also make me feel like a crotchety old woman by the end. Also, if Simon is pushing 30, shouldn't he try to be a little more careful about this spontaneous proposing?
Baby Name:
Born to Ruthie and Joel, a daughter, Rivkah Mary. Brother is Keziah and sisters are Tirzah and Tahlia.

I've only met one Tirzah before, but she was smart and stunningly gorgeous and named for one of a group of sisters in I-forget-which-book-of-the-Bible who confronted their tribal elders and won the right for Jewish women to inherit property in their own names, not just through a spouse or brother. It's an excellent name.
Also, because I am an incredibly slack commenter, I should mention, from a long-ago post of yours -- the Dillo is fearsomely cute, and it's not just motherly pride, Casper is indeed an extremely beautiful girl.
