birthday party

Hannah and Owen
Aiden and Maya
Peyton (F, natch)
Spencer
Catherine (cousin of the birthday boy)
Gray (M) (also a cousin, but not a sibling of the above)
and my two.
A rented John Deere Gator was the highlight of the party (well, for Owen and the kids) and tooled then around the block repeatedly.
Born Jan. 17 to Laura (my mother's high school best friend's daughter): Paige Kathryn
Met both sets of the birthday boy's grandparents and was struck by their strong southern accents - I think they are from NC and SC. The parents, our age, would be recognizable as southerners if set down in Boston, but have nowhere near as strong an accent.
Also met Spencer's grandmother, visiting from MS, and found the same thing to be true - her accent is much stronger than her 40 year old son's.
Casper is at her first sleepover! We'll see if it lasts the night.
