good, and bad
Mar. 11th, 2007 10:29 amYesterday I pawned the baby off on mr. flea at 6am and tried to sleep more. I had a nightmare in which we were all at my mother's house, and everyone was running around being busy and accomplishing stuff, except me. I was sitting holding the baby and sobbing, occasionally crying, "coffee, coffee." People would stop and ask me unanswerable questions in their busyness, but nobody brought me coffee.
The Casper woke me up and DID get me coffee. (Or rather, she went into the kitchen, and said, "Dad, Mom wants some of, um, that stuff you like?")
It's been that kind of a weekend. They rearranged the Kroger, making me completely grumpy: in addition to the sheer annoyance of not knowing where anything is, it seems to have been arranged by people on crack. There is no logic to what's together. The time changed, and the sun was still not up at 7:30 am. Dillo is fussy (sick again/still) and I am fussy (also sick, with an annoyed throat and dry cough.)
The good was gardening yesterday. The peas, sweet peas and kale I planted Feb. 22 have sprouted, and we planted lots more peas. Cut back the rosemary bush. Daffoldils are starting to bloom in my yard, blazing elsewhere. I cut down two smallish weed trees. Beautiful day. Today seems warm but overcast; I had to ask mr. flea to stay home and help me with the kids, but I can't seem to nap. And my mother just called to tell me my cousin's daughters (4.5 and 17 months) are SOOOO well-behaved and charming. (Not that she means to be pointy or anything. She's just sayin'...)
