At about noon today, Casper passed from the limp noodle stage of illness, had a brief moment in the OMG I'm better whoo whoo phase, and then crashed straight into whiny recuperation.

I'm tired.

Also, yeah, she was sensitive today, but M. at the park was being a little bitch. She's 3.5 and can't seem to recognize that Casper is a lot younger than her. So she was standing way too close to Casper on purpose, making her cry, and saying things like, "You're not in my club." And then went to eat grapes, and Casper wanted some, so I asked Casper to ask M. if she would share, and M. said, "I don't want to share." Which, valid response, if M. hadn't been deliberately messing with Casper the whole time we were there already. It's a hard discipline situation, because M.'s mother, while acknowledging her daughter was being a bit of a pill, didn't do much about it. It would have been easier to deal with if M. was hitting Casper. She's already sophisticated enough to realize that being verbally mean is more effective and less likely to get you punished.

I seem to be a bit of a lioness when people pick on my kid. I should have expected it.
