Farmer's Market
May. 27th, 2006 09:55 amBut first:
1. My coworker finally had her daughter Thursday night, Elizabeth Pippa, to be called Pippa. 8 pounds 11 oz. Unfortunately she (the mother) had a rough time of it and an emergency c-section, but everyone is fine.
2. My punk rock daughter: http://www.flickr.com/photos/casperflea/154146076/
3. I took my mother to Locopops and she a) didn't want a popsicle and b) tasted mine and wasn't impressed. Clearly insane.
A short photo essay on our famer's market: http://www.flickr.com/photos/casperflea/154149356/ . It's Saturdays, 8-12, currently in a parking lot but they're building a shelter structure in the open field of a park down the hill, because in July in NC, it's damned hot to stand around a parking lot at 10am.
Today we bought: strawberries, green beans, new potatoes, tomatoes, and a mixed bouquet (bachelor buttons and other things).
We saw: my boss, woman from archives and her partner, RFMom and Alexander, program coordinator of the women's center, a family from La Leche League.
