Cold, Day 2
Mar. 30th, 2004 09:02 amWell, she's a trooper. Fever running pretty high, but controlled by baby tylenol, god bless it. When a dose is running out she's very fussy and hot to the touch. While rationally I know that babies run higher fevers than adults, it's a little scary to hold the limp firey bundle. But when the medicine kicks in she's pretty normal - eating and drinking well, plays, laughs, just a little clingier than usual. Not sleeping well, but she normally sleeps so badly it's hard to notice!
mr. flea is bearing most of the burden, poor man. He feels guilty because he thinks he gave her the cold, and then she gagged and threw up a little last night while being dosed with the dropper, and then he stepped on the cat! The man feels he can do nothing right, but in fact he's doing most of the work of looking after her, while not feeling well himself.
