Nov. 22nd, 2005 11:55 amWe told them; it went fine. RF Mom emphasized their poverty (cue hollow laugh) but her boss and mine, who was snooping, then made catty remarks to me about how rich they are. Nanny did not cry, but mr. flea nearly did. Now tired after all this emotion. I need a vacation and I'm working tomorrow and will probably be on solo kid duty Friday and Saturday because mr. flea is behind from his trip.
Of course, just as we're about to change her routine Casper is going though all this anxiety. mr. flea got her a book called "Noises at Night" that's about hearing noises and imagining what they are in a good way to try to combat the fears. She also works hard to make me feel bad about leaving for work in the mornings - "I will cry." "Don't leave me." "I will come with you!" Gah!
Just very tired right now. Worrying about Christmas, too. When you have a kid, you HAVE to send PHOTO CARDS, right? We need to get someone to snap a picture of our tired, glum and anxious little family.
Feeling very bad about mr. flea's neglected birthday.

Date: 2005-11-22 06:03 pm (UTC)And you don't have to send out photo cards by Christmas. You can send photo cards for Valentine's Day! Or Arbor Day! I say, damn the man and do what you want.
