Jul. 27th, 2005 08:49 amWAAAAAAANT shoes: http://www.dansko.com/Product_Detail.aspx?StyleName=Roxy&ID1=3001&ID2=3802 Purple. Suede. Ankle-strap. Heels. With cutouts. By DANSKO. Arggh, I just bought a new pair of $110 shoes.
ION, Casper is getting much better at fine motor control. After I draw her a face, or a kitty cat, or whatever, she carefully colors in the eyes, nose, cheeks (naming each) before scribbling all over the page. (Why yes, she was up at 6, and painting and drawing and demanding the drawing up ducks and eggs and chicken houses at 6:30, which I was happy to comply with as it gave me a chance to dress and eat and other vital tasks while she was doing the coloring.) Must promote gross motor skills or she'll end up like mr. flea and me: big, potentially athletic people who are not good with the sports.
I hope it is clear from this journal how deeply I am in love with this child. Sometimes I feel like I'm either clinical or flippant here. But really, I am swoony adorey sniffing her sweet sweaty head and wanting to lick her and eat her up. (When she's not driving me bananas.) Frankly, my love for my daughter is worrying me, especially wrt my husband. I feel he's taking a back seat with me some, and I have to work to combat it. Which we are doing at the moment by enjoying Firefly together (do I get a toaster? He went to imdb and looked up all the actors to report in disgust that they were all "kids," by which he turned out to mean "younger than himself," since several are around my age (32) and hence not precisely children.)
