monday monday (more whining)
Apr. 18th, 2005 11:20 amI FEEL YUCKY! I have caught the evil cold, and am piteous at work, since if I'm to be piteous, it might as well be at work. mr flea is working from home, and if I were home I'd just do vaccuuming and stuff anyway. I don't feel brain-impaired sick, so I might as well work. As I am sure I have mentioned every time I have had a mere sniffle I HATE HAVING A STUFFY NOSE.
As for Casper, her health continues to mystify. After the Motrin and a 1-hour nap (her second nap of the day, which is unusual) she was happy as a clam and rambly excited. The symphony was giving a free pops concert at the park so we went and rambled and got a balloon and ran up and down the street (Casper, "running! running!" while she runs.) Yet, cranky in the night and slept until 9 (well, woke at 12 (nurse), 2, 4 (nurse), 7 (nurse).) Still has the crustiest of noses. Have instructed the nanny to keep an eye on her mood today.
In Neanderthal Toddler news, last night during the concert the park was packed, of course. While we were playing in the Tot Lot (fenced-in area for the littler kids), Casper climbed on the play structure and pitched fits if any other kid tried to climb on too - screaming, shouting "No!", scuffling with her feet, trying to hit, lying down on the floor of the structure so anyone wanting to climb on had to step on her. It was kind of funny, if horrifying (my cute darling kid! has turned into a selfish jealous monster!)
