I think I'm going to have to stop reading Ask Moxie. Posts about why babies sleep go fine, but anything political (like red-shirting kids in kindergarten, or just sending kids to kindergarten at all) brings out the socio-economic privilege and upper-middle class anxiety-competitive parenting like whoa. Comments tend to be fairly respectful, but I just don't need that nonsense in my life. It creates anxiety in me about my parenting rather than making the site a supportive place.
