The Blue-Eyed Boy was like that until he weaned; then the switch got flipped and all he wanted was daddy, daddy, daddy. Now he'll accept either of us in the middle of the night, but for a long time he was Not Happy if I showed up.
Of course, I don't know whether Casper will do the same, I merely offer this as an example of the way their parental preferences can change.
