Saturday afternoon, hanging out with neighbors, we met a woman named Mercer and her small children, Harrison and Penn (f). Sooooo southern.

Totally Southern. I like all 3 names, though I'm unsure of Penn for a girl. I am one of those terrible, evil people who like some boy names on girls (very Southern to me), but Penn is not one I think I'd have considered. Interesting choice, though.

Penn isn't a boy's name! It's a last name. I think that's different, and where the Southernism comes in.
