It's our 10th wedding anniversary! "Tin" is traditional; we are choosing "house." We had a (fancy British - Wentworth) wooden puzzle made of our wedding picture, and we made it tonight. I married such a baby-face! He was 29, but looks about 15.

Further Notes from Athens trip:
Realtor has 4 sons, ages 10-5, all 18 months apart. OY. Can you imagine having a newborn, 18 month old, 3 year old and 4.5 year old? I've had just the 18 month old and the 4.5 year old and that was a lot.

The Grit is a wonderful vegetarian restaurant. With CAKE. Will definitely be a haunt.

Athens is bedecked with large fiberglass bulldogs, like CowParade but bulldogs. Dillo got VERY good at noticing them as we drove around.

They have a tiny little farmer's market - newly in a city park this year. It used to be even tinier and in the parking lot of a bakery. They opened for the season last weekend and had 2600 people and sold out of everything by 10 am. So, I see growth. Makes me realize how much bigger a town Durham is. There don't seem to be a large number of small independent farms around Athens, either.

Georgia is obsessed with football. This will be a change from NC's basketball, I guess. There is a place in Athens that is a gated parking lot, with bathrooms and a shuttle to the stadium, called Tailgate Station. Parking spots must be purchased. Cost: $30,000. There is also a "Gameday Luxury Condos" building downtown.

The cousins with whom I grew up most closely were all born within five years of one another. No, I have no idea. And I had a co-worker whose wife got pregnant every time she stopped nursing. After the fourth one, he finally went in for that vasectomy....

Happy anniversary!

Re: the bulldogs. Here it's polar bears, and Nora knows the location of every one within a ten mile radius.

You're in Bulldog country. The bulldogs are probably Uggas (the UGA mascot). One of my second cousins has a huge UGA logo tattooed on his upper arm/shoulder.

Happy anniversary! Please don't buy each other a $30K parking space, even if it is a number ending in 10....

I love the house pics, especially the built-in bookshelves in one of the bedrooms and the living room. I love a house with built in bookshelves. Also, I love houses back east, with porches and dormers and yards. Lovely.

And more importantly, Happy Anniversary!

My dad is a huge Georgia fan. He would be jealous of your living right in Athens (he lives in Charleston, SC).

Happy anniversary!
