After two days of being early, late, or stupid all day due to the fact that my computer's internal clock refuses to recognize DST and even when I manually change it, it sneakily reverts back, I caved and put in an IT support ticket asking if they could fix it.
I got back from a meeting to a "resolved" message, in which I was told it was fixed, though the person hadn't been able to log in as me and test it. (It was implied that this was somehow my fault.)
I logged in as me. Not fixed.
Then I rushed off to a meeting I called last week, that's showing up as at 12 in my Lotus Notes calendar. When I got there and nobody else did, I found that everyone else thought it was at 1, according to their Notes calendars. All right, so Notes is scheduling my meetings an hour early, right? I can maybe try to cope with that. Nope, the meeting I scheduled for Friday - put on the calendar 5 minutes after today's meeting - is showing at 11am for me AND the people invited. WTF? We just had to update Lotus Notes in the last couple of months. Surely they could have fixed the Daylight Savings Time calender clusterfuck at that point? Because it's not like HAVING MEETINGS SCHEDULED AT THE RIGHT TIMES is any important aspect of a CALENDAR or anything, right?
Dear Congress: this was such a dumb idea.
Dear IT Support: fix it, goddamn it.
EDIT: I had to manually correct the time on this entry. ARGH.
