It's raining rain, Hallelujah!

fleaIt has rained off and on for about the last 24 hours, sometimes hard. Yay! Muggy and horrible, sort of, but WET!
Aside from that, it's been a sort of grim week. It's Thursday, all I've done for my homework is read the chapter, so I have 8 pages still to write and no motivation. We've had horrible nights with the Dillo this week. We got through the "my lower canines are coming in" week and were back to a reasonable schedule of waking at 1 and 4, but now we're up 3-4 times a night, with loooong nursing sessions, for no discernible reason. Last night we wouldn't go back to sleep after nursing at 4:30, so I nursed him again, and he was wide awake by the end of that - up for the day at 5:30 and wanting to read book after book after book. (I know, it's wonderful for children to read books. I am so frelling sick of reading books.) We're also having the very devil of a time getting him down. He won't nurse down any more, and now the going-to-bed phase is taking at least half an hour, much of it involving crying. mr. flea has some back-rubbing trick that seems to be working for him. I am just frustrated, and starting to get angry.
But then, he's so jolly and happy and huggy (he is an excellent hugger) it's hard to stay angry. Tired, that part doesn't go away, though. It's been one of those weeks where everything is on the verge of falling apart, but hasn't quite. Yet.
