On Marriage, though a 4 year old's eyes

1. Casper used to have a plan to marry her brother.

2. Casper now plans to marry her friend Logan, from school.

3. Casper and Emmett, the boy she spends after-school with, apparently had a brief phase of planning to be married, but have given up this plan. mr. flea got to hear Emmett explaining why the marriage wouldn't work out thusly: "You see, [to Casper], you're only four, and I'm about to be five. So then when you are five, I will be six, and when you are SIX, I'll be SEVEN! It will never work."

4. Emmett's mother found this hilarious, and also noted that Emmett usually says he plans to marry her.

Ellie and her daycare firends do this thing where I walk in the room and Ellie yells, "Mio mommy!" and then the other kids say the same thing. She always sounds angry about it, but I think it's a game. Makes me laugh every time - of course I'm *your* mommy. We aren't taking any of those other kids home, are we?

I feel slightly proud that Alex hasn't figured out yet that she's supposed to marry a boy. As she's told us on several occasions, she's going to marry her (female) former nanny, Dorian.

Also, I can no longer sing "You Are My Sunshine" to her without being gently corrected: "I'm Miss Carol's sunshine, Mama. Your sunshine can be Papa."
