Yesterday we drove to Raleigh, ate lunch at Neomonde, and acquired cinnamon sticks, oregano, bay leaves, two packs of pita, and unsulphured apricots.

Then to the big farmer's market where we got zucchini, eggplant, cucumbers, a peck of Stayman's Winesap apples, sweet potatoes, a gallon of apple cider, to big carving pumpkins and one tiny pumpkin.

Now it is a rainy Sunday and we have completed the ritual This Old House viewing and are drinking cocoa.

I have been in a foul mood due to exhaustion, but an resolving to get out of it. Somehow.
