still sick, now with added cranky
Jan. 12th, 2006 09:32 amThings learned:
Dimetapp DM (containing antihistamine, decongestant and cough suppressant) dries up the nose well, but doesn't suppress coughs for shit.
Casper got cranky about 11:30 am yesterday (during Mr. Rogers - coincidence?) and basically has stayed so. Dozed and cried on and off all afternoon. Wouldn't eat. Very bad indeed between 9pm and midnight - sleeping for 10 minutes, then waking, crying, "don't touch me!", "I'm scared", "I want to sleep in Daddy's bed!", "Go away, Daddy!" - gah. Then slept from 12-4, which was good. Currently sort of vertical, watching PBS kids and putting socks on hands as mittens (hey, playing is a good sign), refusing applesauce and saying, "Mommy!" approximately every 3 minutes.
Mommy is very tired, but stil managing to be patient, except for some bad times between 11 and midnight. At which point Mommy totally bummed herself out thinking, "Oh god, this is what it was like to sleep with an infant. Oh god."
