day of avoidance and badness

I don't want to be here. I am in charge of (everything from catering to agenda and mediating) a meeting of staff from local institutions. I called the meeting. I don' wanna.

Sickness has fallen among us: mr. flea succumbed to what has been confirmed as strep throat on Thursday. Casper is clear on the throat front, but then she and mr. flea both fell to the luscious phlegmy chest cold yesterday. Casper's gone to day care, as she didn't seem feverish, just coughy. But there's a risk I'll get a phone call from day care to come get her, frelling up item A above. (mr. flea had to go to Raleigh to get his penicillin.) I taught Casper how to cough into her elbow and she's doing it pretty reliably. In a brillant move, the two coughy snoring people slept in the same bed last night, giving me actual sleep, albeit on the futon, so various parts of me kept falling numb.

RF mom's scooter has been stolen from their driveway. Since they have a $1000 deductible and it only cost about $1500, she is woeful.
