I missed my LJiversary on the 5th. Go one-year me!
I also got paranoid about the internets disappearing and printed out the first 6 months of my baby posts here yesterday. Of course, our house could burn down, but I think the odds of the internets disappearing AND our house burning down are in my favor. And if both happened, I'm sure the loss of baby posts would be the least of my worries.
Here is my year in me-dom:
An Xmas gift, which was meant for mr. flea. And no, It's not the baby. Her official six month birthday was Saturday, but the checkup was today. Graham crackers are a big hit. Well, it wasn't pouring when I started, just by the time I gave up and went inside. I am back. Casper's upper left central incisor is through the skin! I learned a lot about horse racing, and thought about the difficulties of being a writer of non-fictional stories - you have so much less control over pacing, because when things actually happened, they didn't necessarily do so in an orderly fashion. So, the fussa is learning to walk. The weekend was a wonderful escape. I vote because when my grandmother was born, her mother and grandmother, both college-educated women, could not vote. Casper clocks in at 25 lbs 10 ounces, a hair under 32 inches, which is 90%ile all around.
Well, the journal is meant to be all about Casper, so I guess I'm succeeding!
In today's news, mr flea would like me to report that when he carries Casper back to her crib at 3 am, after nursing session number 2, she often waves bye-bye to me, despite being mostly asleep. Reading all my sleep traume from last Jan-May makes me see how little progress we've made - still up twice a night, though rarely more often than that. But still! It's been a year! I'm thinking seriously about night-weaning, since she clearly won't do it herself.
