backsliding night
Jun. 30th, 2004 10:40 amCapser still has a runny nose, but seems okay otherwise. Incidentally, trying to nurse a baby with a very stuffy nose is kind of amusing, since normally a nursing baby breathes through the nose. A stuffed-up baby - or mine, anyway - will nurse nurse nurse nurse, then open the mouth and gasp gasp gasp, then nurse nurse nurse nurse. This creates a certain amount of spillage of milk.
We put her down just after 8 last night and she cried for about 20 minutes. Either she didn't give her regular cry out/settle cries last night, or I was so damn exhausted I slept through them (I think the former.) But I nursed her when she wanted instead of trying to get her further on to the new ideal schedule, which meant at 11:30, 3 and 5:30. Because I was so tired and mr. flea was asleep (HE CAN SLEEP THROUGH CRYING, evil man) and I couldn't take the crying. Must re-steel selves for tonight.
