fleaIn weird news, mr. flea has been requested to accompany his professor to a meeting at the Oak Ridge National Lab next week. The lab is in Oak Ridge, TN. Are they driving? No, they will travel by chartered plane. It's for one day only.
Questions:
Will mr. flea need to wear lead underpants to ensure we can have other children if we choose? (Oak Ridge being notorious for its radiation problems.)
Why did BOTH of us immediately think "oh dear, chartered planes crash all the time"? (We agreed that if we had a bad feeling next Thursday, he would cry off.)
Is mr flea getting involved in secret governmental hush-hush stuff and not telling me? (If so, I hope he's got a secret bank account for all the money they're secretly paying him).
Of course, the last minute nature of this means a child care scramble. At least this one isn't mr. flea's fault - he only found out yesterday.

Date: 2004-04-29 07:31 am (UTC)Not so much, no. Our lab director has visited Oak Ridge. He's had children since, and they are perfectly healthy. The superpowers take some getting used to, but otherwise the kids are fine.
