I read this before I left home this morning, so I took a quick walk by the bulb patch on my way out. Sure enough, there are all sorts of shoots sticking out of the ground over there, and far too many to be just the crocuses. I think they must've had a rude awakening last night, though, since it was below freezing when I got up.
