I never looked like a petulant neglected misfit because my hair barely came in until I was 2, and after then, my mom had me wearing long, flowing ponytails until I turned 8. My sister's hair was always tight ringlets until she was about three. We were both scalped the same day.
K's hair in front grows a lot more rapidly than the stuff in back. So her bangs are in her eyes all the time, but the back of her head is whispy. I'm not giving her bangs because I don't like them, but it's really hard trying to keep her hair out of her eyes. Ah, well. Mom keeps threatening to take her to get a REAL HAIR CUT.
