Casper's been a Cave Girl this evening, or at least little miss mischief. Yesterday too, some. Dumping things out (whole box of cheddar bunnies on the carpet, on purpose), and now, throwing! Eli was a thrower from the time I met him at 10 months, but Casper never has been. I don't think I've ever seen her throw anything until today, when every other object she picks up is wham, over the shoulder. I'm so stpefied/amused that I'm not sure what to do about it yet, except to caution her about throwing the large and noisy things. Should I stop my kid from throwing stuffed polar bears in the livng room? The dilemmas of parenting.

As long as it's soft stuff, would you consider working on her aim?

I don't mean to be dismissive--it is a quandary. I think it's a normal development. I think I'd try to channel it into something fun, like beanbags, and a board with holes to aim for. Good luck with it.

I agree. Channel it. Might have the makings of a good softball pitcher in there.

O's a thrower, too. Which is aggravating sometimes because he expects me to fetch the things he throws.

DH doesn't mind so much but he just wishes the boy would use his left hand.
