She's a muckraking journalist and secret novelist with a penchant for wearing black clothes with lots of butons and tearing around London in a cabriolet with her mastiff. He's a natural rakehell wallowing over the deaths of half his family, tall, handsome, dissolute, yadda yadda. They fight crime, specifically child prostitution; the nastiest procuress in London; ghosts of both their ancestries and pasts; and each other; he also fights with the buttons on her dress and wins. Plot a leetle over the top, but what the hell.
