balance

I think I'm willing to take the new phase of lying on the floor yelling for half an hour when we get home from work/school, because I won't take him outside because I have to cook dinner and mr. flea is off at the cafe/picking up Casper, since so far the payoff seems to be sleeping from 8pm to 5am. !!!

Of course, I had Casper The Amazing Bed Hog in my bed last light (mr. flea variously on the ouch or in Casper's bed). How can a 40 pound, 3.5 foot person take up 3/4 of a queen-sized bed?

A half hour of crying seems like a very fair price to pay for 9 solid hours of sleep.

And, sigh on the bed-hoggage. Matilda is half Casper's size and has exactly the same magical ability to be everywhere at once. We're currently attempting to evict her permanently from our bed to her crib, but we'll see how long we can hold out against the 2-3 half hour roaring fits of hoarse outrage. As of this morning, things look bleak.

Ugh, I'm sorry. Dillo went to the crib at about 12 months - but there have been weeks since when he's been mostly back in the bed. I can't get over this big sleep week, since just 2 or 3 weeks ago he was both in my bed and up every 2 hours!

It was so funny last night - Casper crowded me over to the side of the bed, so I climbed over her and into mr. flea's usual spot - and then she started moving back towards me, so in a couple of hours I was just as crowded as before.

Casper sleeps like Sean, who sprawls over his entire double-sized futon already! By the time he's a teenager that kid will need a king-sized bed.

Glad to hear Dillo is sleeping better (knock on wood).
