oops

Well, they think Casper has pneumonia. She had a chest x-ray and everything, and we have a prescription for Zithromax that should knock it right out; they say she should be well enough to get her flu shot (horse, meet barn door) on Saturday as scheduled.

I guess it's pretty mild AS PNEUMONIA GOES but I feel bad I let it go on this long thinking it was just a cold.

Feel better, Casper!

Aw, the poor bunny. I had pneumonia when I was a kid. It sucked.

Poor kidlet! I hope she's feeling better soon!

WTF! Isn't pneumonia like an old people's disease? The kind of disease you get when you don't have the opportunity to leap around the room and stuff? Of course, my doctor was like, "Oh yes, it could be whooping cough!" just to keep me on my toes, I think.

Oh, poor Casper & poor you. When winter is all one long chest cold (at least, it often is for us) how the hell are you supposed to tell how long is too long?

Yikes! Health~ma to Casper.

And don't feel guilty -- I always wait, if there's only intermittent fever, or no fever, because I hate the idea of them having antibiotics they don't need. And one time I waited too long when I didn't know Ben had strep, and he wound up with scarlet fever.

Aww, poor buppa!

Most people who are diagnosed with pneumonia think it's just a bad cold or the flu. The old term "walking pneumonia" really means "I knew I was sick. I just didn't know I was that sick." It doesn't really have any symptoms that scream "pneumonia." Now that she has the antibiotics, she should get better fast.

Poor baby! Poor mom!

Feel better soon, Casper!

Oh, dear. Poor wee thing. Still, I'm glad it's a problem that a prescription and a few days will cure.

Oh, poor little girl, and poor little-girl-parents!

I hope the antibiotics will work quickly and efficiently, and that she'll be all better very soon.

I hope she's better soon! And as someone said, isn't that how all cases of pneumonia go? "Sure, I'm sick, but I'm not *that* sick.... Oh."
