peas! peas!
Picked snowpeas and ate them for dinner as part of a salad yesterday. Rounding out our healthy meal were spicy pork sausages (from WF) and sweet potato fries. I try to make Sunday dinner a healthy family dinner. Casper really likes salad - she asks for it repeatedly - but as it turns out what she likes is salad dressing. She won't ingest lettuce (she will lick it) and she keeps asking for "more salad" when there is a bowl full of greens, but no visible dressing, in front of her.
Healthy family dinner made up in part for decadent family lunch, which consisted of waffles, vanilla ice cream, and strawberries.
Today is the first day of the summer nanny schedule, with care at our house and a new mix of kids. The nanny has undoubtedly had a long hard day, since it was her first day with Baby Milo, age 2 months. She just has Milo and Casper today - tomorrow she gets both plus a new 2 1/2 year old in the AM. Poor nanny. For us, it's mostly all good, since care is more convenient at out house (no hour-long walk in blazing heat for me) and we end up paying less for as much care (due to awesome math-fu) (okay, really due to simple fractions.)

Franny also likes salad, but of course for her it's the zero calorie foods she really loves, like lettuce and carrots and tomatoes. No wonder she's such a wee girl. Yesterday she was comping down the mushrooms. Who'da thunk it?

She's a chow hound!
