Posted to a list-serv for Aegean prehistorians:
Can someone send me a bibliography of freshwater snails in Greece and the
wider region (English, Greek, major scholarly languages)?
I bet you dollars to donuts he gets a good response, too.

Hell, I probably have a couple of references on Mediterranean snails somewhere around here. I know I did readings on the subject as an undergraduate....

No, mine were probably marine. Murex is marine, isn't it?

I am really not a classicist, I just slept with one for two years. That said, I'll have you know that when Mother and I were talking about classes for the children as holiday gifts, the phrase "Indiana Jones skillset" did come up.

(They're going to get riding lessons this year. Because, well, you never know when you'll need to ride off into the sunset.)

It's a totally valid question if assume that they're looking for a bibliography of works by prehistoric aegean freshwater snails, rather than works on prehistoric aegean freshwater snails.
