Born this morning, to Laura and Joel, a son, Samuel Hart. Big sister is Kate (nearly 3). These are former coworkers, and amusingly, another former coworker has two kids named Sam (4) and Kate (1). Luckily former coworker #2 is moving next month, and they aren't really in the same circles anyway.

I also cannot let pass unmentioned the glorious name of Vortex's nephew, Idris Archie Ken Lastname. Let is be remembered that I was sorely tempted to name Dillo Idris (Elba), despite our complete lack of either Welsh or Muslim ancestry.

ID-riss (http://www.babynamewizard.com/namipedia/boy/idris). Idris Elba is a British actor of West African descent who was on The Wire and probably is responsible for what popularity the name has in this country. It's the name of a prophet in the Koran but also a name in Welsh.
