But mostly, it's just my mother being herself. How can we avoid each other for three more days in a small house?

In re #1, Fake Claritin (loratadine) works wonders. I am told that Zyrtec or Fake Zyrtec is the nuclear option.

In re #2, um, family outing to a CCBL game? (Some of them are day-games, though mostly evening; Coudy Field in Bourne is just south of the Bourne Bridge opposite a school playground. Hyannis and Cotuit also have teams.) Day-return to Oak Bluffs would be a whole day! It's just a matter of convincing Mother that she doesn't want to go along.
