help distract me

Friends, I am looking at a 4-hour desk shift this evening, with (likely) precious little to do during it (except worry that my husband is taking the children to the circus, again).

What is your favorite brand of oh-so-cute, possibly over-the-top, insanely-expensive children's clothes? I have been looking at Tea Collection and wishing the cute little dresses came in sizes larger than 5. I need to move on. Baby clothes are acceptable substitutes, but I'd prefer to browse ridiculous(ly cute) things my children (sizes 2t/3t and 6) might actually fit into.

Oilily and Janie & Jack.

Ah, Oilily, for when you want your child to look like a mad Peruvian-Czech gypsy!

I always loved the Wooden Soldier catalog, but I don't think they have it online.

ETA: They're now online.

Thank God Abby's too big for a lot of this stuff.

I actually bought Ellen some of their corduroy jumpers; she loved them, she looked pretty, and they wore like iron. (Can't find them now. Pity.)

The corduroy jumpers that I used to love for Abby were the L.L. Bean wide wale jumpers. Also wore like iron, as did the overalls, which Nate wore first and then passed on to Abby.

This is more to Abby's taste now.

*Chic*.

I wish I could buy Ellen this coat:

(she had one very like it, only it was plum wool with black collar and cuffs.)

Oh, sooooo pretty.

Here you go.

I once saw a gold lame dry-clean-only baby dress.

I have no idea about clothes, but I have spent half of yesterday evening investigating messenger bags on Amazon, Zappos (who knew they sold bags!), and other sites. I like the Keen bags, but am trying to move away from the "could walk out of the room with a pony in it" sized bags.

Have you looked at the ones from...augh, whatsis, they made my next-to-last purse. Mnerf, this is the problem with this internet business, I can't be like, You know, the green bag I carried everywhere for two years.

Overland, that's it. (http://www.overlandequipment.com/)

Tartine et Chocolat. And the Euro makes them extra insanely expensive!

Ooh, and Petit Bateau, where you can spend $62 on a t-shirt!

April Cornell is girls only, and can be a little Mormon-esque, but I love this.
