I need a cookie
I have had a really crap week at work; getting nothing done and then feeling bad about it. Ugh.
So, in further not-working news: ideas about furniture and the move.
Definitely get rid of:
non-functioning washer and dryer in basement (recycle?)
blue chair in basement (TROSA?)
office chair in basement (TROSA?)
naugahyde chair in Dillo's room (TROSA?)
broken bedroom bookcase
On the fence:
-maple dresser now in my bedroom - could work on and use, use for kids, use in dining room (maple table), or sell
-white and black melamine bookcases - not nice at all, but one must have something. could use in laundry room, for by the back door storage.
-Dillo crib - offer back to gifter, keep because he is still sleeping in it, get rid of because we could move him to a big boy bed?
-Dillo changing table/wooden kitchen island - make sure existing kitchen island is staying, maybe use in playroom as doll house shelf?, or sell
-our bed - in bad shape but we probably can't afford to make a new one a priority right away
What furniture goes where:
Dining room:
-table and chairs
-corner cabinet (I think will fit by pocket door and window)
-stools
Living room
-dark rug
-tv
-trunk
-coffee table
Entry
-big pink chair
-pink rug? (or kid bedroom)
-dark glass-fronted bookcase
-coat tree
Big bedroom:
-bunk beds
-Casper's dresser
Small bedroom/playroom:
-futon (double)
-Casper's rug
-kids' bookcase
-corner bookcase
-kids' storage unit
Master bedroom:
-bed
-little mahogany dressers
-grandpa T's table?
-bedroom rug
-sewing machine?
What we need (not all urgent; I would put couch first.):
two more dining room chairs
couch
more comfy chairs
Dillo dresser
flea and mr. flea dresser (but make good use of huge closet)
bed frame/headboard for us
small bookcase for upstairs
desk and chair for computer (to go in dining room?)

Even though our little guy hadn't slept in his crib, he still found it sort of upsetting when it went away.
(Oh, and be prepared for potty issues when you move. Hopefully Casper is old enough to be past the worst of it, but when we moved (admittedly, we moved twice in 6 months), it was potty, potty everywhere.)
