domestic chores

completed today:

prep lasagna (defrost spinach, brown beef, shred cheese) for tonight's dinner
make crudites and white bean dip for Tday
dice onion and celery for stuffing
make brine
prep eggplant for gratin
defrost pumpkin

sweep floors
change crib sheets
2 loads laundry
pull out towels and sheets
clear floor space in Casper's room

To do (ideally, today, ideally, before 4pm when guests arrive):

bathroom de-mold
sort out table linens and dishes (can be done tomorrow)

make bread crumbs for gratin
brine turkey
make sure turkey fits in pan. if not, acquire pan
assemble and cook lasagna
make 3 pie crusts (mr. flea job)
get more whole milk?
bake pies (apple, pumpkin) (maybe tomorrow)

My back hurts. I think I am both stressed and have poor housekeeping ergonomics.

I often catch myself with poor housekeeping ergonomics, i.e., hunching over a sink or counter (particularly when cleaning) when I really don't need to. I sometimes think it reflects my general attitude towards such chores.

Hello, you! I wish you were our houseguests tonight. Especially since you would arrive at the time you had specified, not 3-4 hours later due to not being able to get out of the house in a timely fashion and forgetting there might be traffic leaving DC the afternoon before Thanksgiving.

I LOVE the pictures. Did I say that? My mother was like, whose baby is it, yours or hers??

Only 1 entry for Mr. Flea? Surely he can sweep and launder and de-mold!

I was home from work, and he was working, so I drew the domesticity straw. He'll be the main turkey and potato wrangler, though!
