I was thinking you might "practice" leaving her with Joe overnight a couple of times. Like, you stay at a friend's house for a night. Knowing you are only a phone call away might help him develop confidence. And then, if his schedule permits, she could stay with him in Sept. It might be like boot camp for him - but possibly also empowering?

So far, the best news all day has been that my class this summer has been cancelled and moved back to September. Two months of breathing room, yay!
Ellie's having spaghetti and ice cream pie for her dinner; should be lots of fun.
